UL, abbreviated as Underwriters Laboratories Inc., is one of the largest private organizations in the world engaged in safety testing and appraisal. It is an independent, non-profit, professional organization that conducts tests for public safety, using scientific methods to study and determine whether various materials, devices, products, equipment, buildings, etc. pose a threat to life and property.
The main application of three proof paint is circuit board coating protection, which generally requires corresponding UL certification. The common UL combustion rating/plastic flame retardant rating is generally divided into V-0, V-1, V-2, and HB. The flammability UL94 rating is the most widely used plastic material flammability performance standard.
Materials required for UL certification:
-Company name and address
-User manual, including product description, detailed usage introduction, electrical rating, etc
-List of components and materials for the product, as well as the UL file number obtained (UL File No.)
-A chart that can illustrate electrical or electronic circuits
-Materials or components that may be replaced in the future
UL certification process:
A. The applicant submits relevant company and product information
B. UL company makes a decision based on the provided product information
C. Applying for company remittance, sending back application forms and samples
D. UL company conducts product testing
E. Factory inspection
F. The applicant is authorized to use the UL logo
